Shaping the future of adult social care provision across North Yorkshire.

Welcome and thank you for your interest.

Are you a visionary leader ready to join our dynamic team, to help shape the future of adult social care?

North Yorkshire Council is seeking a Service Manager to lead and transform our directly provided adult social care services, ensuring high-quality, person-centred support for our residents.

Why North Yorkshire?

North Yorkshire is a county of ambition, pride, and resilience. Our communities, businesses, and workforce are passionate about the place they live and work. As a Council, we are proud of our achievements, confident in our services, and committed to continuous improvement.

Unlike many authorities, we retain a strong portfolio of directly provided services, ensuring choice and quality for those with the most complex needs.

Where other authorities have outsourced all of their provider services; given the size and scale in North Yorkshire we are committed to directly providing services alongside commissioned services; to ensure that our residents have high quality, outcome focussed support and choice, in particular for those with the most complex needs.

Our vision is clear, a thriving county that adapts to a changing world and remains a special place for everyone to live, work, and visit. Central to this is our Health and Adult Services directorate, where we strive to ensure every adult lives a longer, healthier, and more independent life.
