Overview

Goggins Transport UK are recruiting multiple skilled HGV Drivers to join our team. Competitive rates depending on shift pattern. Tramping and days available.

The ideal candidates will have experience in commercial driving, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency. This role involves transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. A minimum of 6 months experience is required - Class 1.

Duties

  • Safely operate a HGV combination, Curtainsider or skell trailers, deliver goods to designated locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Ensuring that cargo is secured properly for transport.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and communicate effectively with dispatch regarding any issues or delays.
  • Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving, ensuring the safety of yourself and others on the road.
  • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns from clients.
  • Perform basic mechanical checks and maintenance on the vehicle as needed.

Requirements

  • Valid commercial driving license (C+E) with a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings or late evenings if required.
