Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students, particularly those with special educational needs. This role requires a creative approach to teaching and the ability to engage with children of various backgrounds and abilities, including those on the autism spectrum. You will be a cover supply for pschology

Duties

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the diverse needs of students.
  • Provide individualised support and instruction to students with disabilities, ensuring they have access to the curriculum.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages participation and collaboration among students.
  • Utilise effective communication skills to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Mentor and tutor students, offering additional support in areas such as creative writing and subject-specific content.
  • Collaborate with special education staff and other professionals to create comprehensive educational plans for students with special needs.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education.

Experience

  • Need to have a degree in psychology
  • Experience of working in a school setting
  • Proven experience working with children in an educational setting is essential.
  • Background in special education or experience working with individuals who have disabilities is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with teaching strategies for students on the autism spectrum is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff.
  • Experience in tutoring or mentoring roles will be beneficial in providing additional support to students. We welcome applications from individuals who are enthusiastic about making a difference in the lives of children through education.

Job Types: Part-time, Temp to perm, Freelance, Zero hours contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: £108.00-£125.00 per day

Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
