About AFFCAD UK
AFFCAD UK is a UK-based charity supporting the work of our partner organisation, AFFCAD Uganda (Action for Fundamental Change and Development), based in Kampala. Together, we work to transform the lives of young people living in some of Uganda's poorest communities through education, skills training, health initiatives, and employment support.
We are a small, dedicated team of volunteers passionate about making a sustainable impact through grassroots partnerships.
Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and organised Corporate Fundraising Coordinator to join our volunteer team. This role is ideal for someone with an interest in corporate social responsibility, fundraising, or business development who wants to contribute to a cause that makes a real difference.
The successful candidate will play a key role in helping AFFCAD UK develop and grow partnerships with businesses and corporate donors. You will identify and engage potential sponsors, manage relationships, and support the creation of sponsorship proposals and campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential corporate sponsors aligned with AFFCAD UK's mission and values.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospects and partnership opportunities.
- Assist in the creation of tailored sponsorship proposals and presentations.
- Manage and nurture relationships with new and existing sponsors.
- Support the development of sponsorship packages and benefits.
- Work closely with the Fundraising and Communications teams to align messaging and maximise impact.
- Keep accurate records of outreach, responses, and sponsorship agreements.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
- Confident in reaching out to new contacts via email, phone, or LinkedIn.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage your own workload.
- Creative thinker with a proactive and professional approach.
- A passion for international development, youth empowerment, or charitable causes.
Desirable:
- Experience in fundraising, sales, account management or business development.
- Familiarity with corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sponsorship trends.
- Previous experience working or volunteering with charities or non-profits.
