Paxton & Whitfield has been the country's leading cheesemonger for over 200 years and today we continue to deliver exceptional artisan cheese, fine food, homewares and cheese experiences with unrivalled passion and expertise across our three UK retail stores as well as our rapidly growing online business and trade sales.
We are looking for cheese enthusiasts to join our wholesale team, Monday-Friday, 6:30 - 16:00. We need a passionate and dedicated cheese enthusiast who wants to expand their knowledge of artisan cheese.
It's a varied role and includes:
- Process orders that come in from chefs via phone and email and update our ordering system accordingly.
- Cut and package cheese ready for dispatch.
- Do local deliveries to hotels and restaurants on foot.
- Ensure the highest quality of cheese is sent to our customers.
- Have an awareness of needs and demands of certain customers.
- Complete food safety and hygiene check, alongside daily cleaning.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Passionate and knowledgeable about artisan cheese and fine food.
- Enjoys working with people.
- Polite and presentable.
- Have great enthusiasm.
- Driven to achieving targets and goals.
