The successful candidate will be offered close clinical support from our highly skilled group of Orthotists who have extensive experience in private orthotic practice.

We are looking for a highly motivated, passionate and experienced Orthotist to join our Bristol clinic, which opened in February 2024. This position requires a dynamic individual, committed to the highest standards of patient care with prior orthotic experience and the relevant qualifications and registration to work in the UK.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex patients, generating continued growth, and supporting the further development of the service, ensuring high standards of care. Collaboration with case managers, solicitors, and other professionals, (including multidisciplinary teams when required), will be key to delivering coordinated, patient-focused care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of Complex Patients: Provide expert care and management for patients with complex orthotic needs including poly-trauma and neurological conditions.
  • Service Development: Lead initiatives to grow and develop the orthotic service, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of patients and the clinic.
  • Patient Care: Take full responsibility for the complete process of patient care, from assessment and prescription to treatment and follow-up.
  • Liaison: Work closely with case managers and solicitors to coordinate client care.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the delivery of high-quality care for all patients, maintaining the clinic's standards and protocols.

Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • Minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience in orthotics.
  • Proven experience managing complex orthotic cases, including trauma and neurological conditions.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience in service development and quality improvement.
  • Familiarity with private healthcare settings and working with case managers/solicitors.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate must possess one of the following qualifications:

  • Certified Orthotist
  • HND Orthotics
  • BSc Orthotics

And in addition, must have:

  • Full HCPC Registration
  • The ability to meet the requirements of an Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) Check
