Created by DJs for DJs, Beatport has always been dedicated to innovating new products and services to support evolving generations of music performers and producers.
The Beatport Group includes some of the best-known brands in DJ culture, including Beatport, Beatsource, DJcity, Plugin Boutique, Beatport Streaming, Ampsuite, LabelRadar, & The International Music Summit (IMS). We are consistently looking for bright, creative professionals with diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
Where You Come In:
The role of Social Content Coordinator & Creator sits at the intersection of DJ culture, social storytelling, community engagement and brand strategy.
First and foremost, you are responsible for the day-to-day management, scheduling, publishing and assessment of content across the Beatport social ecosystem.
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to capture and edit original, social-first content for many of Beatport's most successful story franchises, content series and popular channels.
Under the direction of the Social Media Manager, you will bring a deep connection to the electronic music industry and underground DJ culture, and inject that insight into our content strategy - helping to shape our voice across platforms, make good editorial decisions, embed our brand within the communities that matter most and cultivate the next generation of world class DJs.
As Social Content Coordinator & Creator, you will be responsible for:
Channel & Community Management
- Manage daily publishing across Beatport, from content scheduling and project management tools to stakeholder management and reporting.
- Manage queries that will surface relevant content, conversations, or moments where our brands can actively participate.
Content Creation & Video Production
- Lead certain filming and editing tasks for short-form video content, including Reels, TikToks, and YouTube Shorts.
- Use industry-standard apps and devices to shoot and edit compelling, thumb-stopping, brand-aligned content.
- Bring social-first, conceptual ideas to the table for original Beatport content series and story franchises.
- Collaborate with the wider production and creative teams to maintain consistency in brand identity and quality.
- Use data-driven insights to hone and iterate Beatport creative output until it reaches its optimal performance.
Campaign Execution & Calendar Management
- Support the Social Media Manager with execution of social campaigns tied to artists, labels, live shows, partnerships or cultural moments.
- Maintain an organized, up-to-date content calendar for Beatport.
- Manage the scheduling and publishing of multiple content modules on Hootsuite / Dash, including tagging content consistently.
- Coordinate paid spend and ad boosting with our media agency.
Trend Identification & Creative Input
- Monitor emerging trends in music, social media, and nightlife culture.
- Proactively pitch creative ideas based on what's gaining traction online.
- Collaborate with the rest of the social team to translate insights into content formats or creative experiments.
- Identify creators and influencers that we should be partnering with.
Performance Reporting & Optimization
- Ensure all content posted is managed in Hootsuite / Dash and our proprietary systems for easy reporting and orderly data retention.
- Pull data to input into regular reporting templates.
- Support the Social Media Manager to identify what's working, what isn't, and suggest optimizations based on insights.
- Support the Social Media Manager to regularly share learnings with the wider team to inform future content planning.
As Social Content Coordinator & Creator, you will need:
- Deep familiarity with DJ culture, electronic music, the live environment and the global music community.
- Confident using TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube – and the wider social landscape.
- Experience filming and editing short-form video content using tools or native social editing apps.
- Conceptual thinker and originator of creative ideas.
- Solid understanding of platform best practices and how to craft content for different formats.
- Understanding of what makes content engaging and how to capture the attention of your audience.
- Understanding of the strength of the Beatport brand and where it sits within the global music marketplace.
- Clear and concise communication skills—both in writing (for captions and copy) and in collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong time management and organization skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
