Problem-solving Quality Engineer

Red Bull Advanced Technologies is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Problem-Solving Quality Engineer to join us on a 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract to support our Quality Department in managing faults through our Issue Management System and driving robust root cause analysis across engineering and manufacturing teams for the RB17 Hyper Car programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead fault investigations and ensure accurate problem definition across departments
- Coordinate issue ownership and escalate unresolved faults
- Support containment and corrective actions using 8D, Ishikawa, FTA, and 5 Whys
- Validate resolutions and update quality documentation (PFMEA, Control Plans, etc.)
- Collaborate with software teams to improve the Issue Management System
- Promote cross-departmental learning and continuous improvement
- Conduct internal audits and process confirmations to mitigate quality risks
- Align documentation with Supplier Quality Engineers and internal stakeholders
- Support QMS planning and implementation
- Provide QE / SQE support where required
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in an automotive or motorsport quality role
- Strong background in composites and mechanical systems
- Skilled in SPC, MSA, Gauge R&R, and FMEA
- Familiarity with metrology and GD&T principles
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
