Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work with different materials, particularly sheet metal. As a Fabricator/Welder, you will play an essential role in producing high-quality components that meet our stringent standards. The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years experience in making gates, railings, handrails and light fabrication and experience in MIG and MMA welding. Salary negotiable at interview.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG and MMA welding on various materials, ensuring strong and precise welds
  • Utilise hand tools and power tools for fabrication tasks
  • Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to assemble components accurately
  • Fabricate parts from sheet metal according to specifications
  • Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with standards
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and resolve any issues that arise

Requirements

  • Proven experience in welding, particularly MIG and MMA welding techniques
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for fabrication tasks
  • Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication
  • Experience in assembly processes is advantageous
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
