Service Direct is a new and growing community care and support company in Pembrokeshire. We are passionate about helping people live independently, stay connected, and make the most of the opportunities around them.
We are looking for Community Support Workers to join our friendly team. No experience is required – full training and ongoing support are provided. What matters most is that you are caring, motivated, and want to make a difference.
About the Role
As a Community Support Worker, every day is different. You will support people in their homes and in the community to live fulfilling, independent lives. This can include:
- Supporting people with housing-related needs, such as maintaining tenancies.
- Helping with appointments (Citizens Advice, GP, hospital, benefits, housing, etc.).
- Assisting with shopping trips, meal preparation, and household tasks (cleaning, laundry, organising bills).
- Encouraging healthy lifestyles through swimming, walking, sports, and leisure activities.
- Helping people access local resources, charities, and voluntary organisations.
- Supporting service users to build social connections and community involvement.
- Promoting independence and building confidence to use public transport and community facilities.
You will need to use your own car to take service users to appointments and activities (mileage paid), and sometimes accompany them on public transport.
About You
We're looking for people who:
- Are caring, patient, and reliable.
- Can build positive relationships with people from all walks of life.
- Are flexible and adaptable to different situations.
- Are willing to learn – no previous experience is needed.
- Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a car.
