About the Role

We're seeking an experienced
Backend Software Engineer
with strong

expertise to join a short-term project supporting a large transport organisation. The role will focus on developing and improving their
booking system
, ensuring scalability and performance across a high-traffic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services using
  • Collaborate with front-end and DevOps teams to deliver robust solutions
  • Optimise existing systems for reliability and efficiency
  • Contribute to code reviews and technical discussions within a small, agile team

Requirements

  • Proven commercial experience with
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and backend architecture
  • Experience working on large-scale, production-level applications
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
