Overview

Due to recent expansion, we are seeking a skilled stainless steel TIG/MIG Welder/Fabricator to join our fabrication teamASAP.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of welding techniques and be proficient in working with various materials, particularly sheet metal. As a TIG/ MIG Welder/ Fabricator, you will play a crucial role in fabricating and assembling components that meet our high-quality standards.

Duties

  • Operate TIG/ MIG welding equipment to weld stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium components.
  • Assemble and fabricate parts according to engineering specifications and drawings.
  • Perform quality checks on welded joints to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively for preparation and finishing tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Troubleshoot any welding issues that may arise during the fabrication process.

Skills

  • Proficient in welding techniques.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge to understand machinery and equipment used in the welding process.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately.
  • Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
  • Experience with sheet metal work, including cutting, shaping, and assembling components.
  • Competent in using various power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
