Financial Data Analyst - Manufacturing and Production Sector

Salary: £52,000 - £60,000
Location: Hybrid - Milton Keynes

I'm working on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business who are looking for a Financial Data Analyst to join their team. This is an exclusive role, so you won't see it advertised elsewhere.

What you'll be doing:

This isn't your typical number-crunching role. You'll be right in the middle of the business, working closely with department heads and senior leadership to deliver financial insights that actually shape decisions. Think strategic planning, forecasting, profitability analysis, and building the kind of dashboards and reports that people actually use.

You'll be managing the full financial reporting cycle, leading variance analysis across business units, and digging into the detail on costs, margins, and pricing. There's also a strong project element here, so if you enjoy leading initiatives and improving processes, you'll get plenty of opportunity to do that.

This would suit someone from a Finance Analyst or Finance Business Partner background who's technically strong and enjoys the consultative side of finance just as much as the analytical side.

What you'll need:

  • 3-5 years in a finance, data or reporting-focused role
  • Strong SAP knowledge (FI/CO modules and Analysis for Office a benefit.)
  • Advanced Excel
  • Exposure of knowledge of Power BI, Power Query, Power Pivot and DAX
  • Desirable; Power Automate and ideally Power Apps and SQL experience
  • Solid analytical skills and the ability to present complex data in a clear, actionable way
  • Experience working with stakeholders at all levels

You'll need to be comfortable managing multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, and occasionally travelling as part of the role.
