Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods to our customers. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to communicate effectively with both customers and team members.

Duties

  • Safely operate a delivery vehicle while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring that items are secured properly during transit.
  • Navigate efficiently to various delivery locations, utilising GPS or maps as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or issues encountered.
  • Communicate with warehouse staff regarding inventory levels and delivery schedules.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any questions or concerns from recipients.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices is advantageous.
  • Experience in a warehouse environment is beneficial, particularly regarding loading and unloading procedures.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the nature of the deliveries.
  • Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with customers and team members.
  • A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle being operated is required.
