D365 Lead Finance Functional Consultant

The Microsoft Business Solutions (MBS) business unit at KPMG are looking for an experienced Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations (D365FO) Lead Consultant with knowledge in all phases of large-scale enterprise D365FO projects with a hands-on approach and proven experience in end-to-end implementations, along with interfacing and integration of Dynamics products. Consultancy experience is a must as this role will entail continuous interaction with clients, managing onshore consultants while also working with both onshore and offshore development teams. This role will also require a level of presales activities focused around D365FO and the wider Microsoft platform. You will also contribute to proposal development and provide input in business development while mentoring more junior staff.

This role is therefore key to KPMG Microsoft Business Solutions' customer delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations solutions. It is a dynamic and exciting opportunity to join a rapidly developing business area within an established and market-leading global firm.

Leading the Finance, SCM and/or Retail workstreams of full end-to-end D365 implementations through all phases of the project lifecycleLead the solution on a work stream level, make design decisions and create solution documentationResponsible for leading and managing a team comprising of a group of talented consultants each holding different levels of expertiseProvide on-site support as required by company or clientHave very good understanding of D365FO functional capabilitiesInvolvement with functional interfaces and Integrations with D365FOWork with onsite engagement team & client team to gather requirements, determine expectations & finalize deliverablesGather and document functional requirements and complete gap/fit analysisEnsure quality project delivery of deliverables produced and demonstrate experience in system and functional testingDemonstrate awareness of scope (creep) and use of change controlDeliver end-user training to clients and colleaguesDemonstrate ability around upselling and understanding of additional company capabilitiesResponding to RFPs and RFQsDemonstrate excellent foundational consulting skills, including analytical know-how, written & verbal communication, team participation & presentation skillsSolves and advises on complex problems with creative solutionsMeet and exceed customer expectations from business knowledge, skills, and behaviourEnsure progress updates are communicated to relevant parties both formally and informally

Experience and Background

Minimum 9 years of relevant experience working with Microsoft Dynamics AX and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&OExperience in leading a team of minimum of 4 membersExperience of large-scale ERP implementationsExperience of thinking clearly and calmly under pressure with sound judgement and decision-making abilitiesExperience of constantly assessing and incorporating new technologies and software into their skillsetExperience managing others and leading more junior consultants to a successful outcomePre-sales experienceBusiness process mapping, modelling, and documentation knowledge

Skills and Qualifications

Degree in Business & IT or similarExcellent communication skills in English, both verbally and in writingAbility to lead meetings and workshop, and confidently present to the C-SuiteOutstanding understanding of accounting processes, principles, functionality & systemsFor Finance roles: Solid Finance background (ACA/ACCA/CIMA part qualified or qualified is desirable but not essentialFor SCM roles: Good experience in manufacturing or advanced warehousing, and project cost accountingMicrosoft Dynamics Finance and/or SCM and/or Retail certification, ideally most current versionExcellent knowledge of the following areas of an implementation project life cycle:Requirements analysis and documentationBusiness process mapping and modellingDevelopment testing and UATData migrationCut-over activitiesGo-live supportMust be able to show excellent knowledge of best practices for D365FOStrong MS Office skills (primarily Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Visio is a plus)Strong understanding of Data MigrationKnowledge of Power Platform capabilities and Business Intelligence (BI)LCS and Azure DevOps knowledgeUnderstanding of integration tools and technologiesWorks independently as well as in a team environmentClient centric approach with emphasis on client satisfactionKnowledge of best practices for working with offshore teams and on multi-national projectsExcellent presentation and demonstration skills
