Job Summary - Bar / Wait staff (live-in available)

We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a memorable dining experience. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your hospitality skills within a vibrant pub environment, where attention to detail and guest satisfaction are our top priorities.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted.
  • Serve meals and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
  • Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities.
  • Check in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.
  • Handle payments accurately, including processing cash and card transactions.
  • Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and surrounding areas throughout the shift.
  • Assist in food preparation or kitchen duties as needed, adhering to food safety standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service flow.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and basic food preparation skills are advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour towards guests.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently during busy periods.
  • Basic maths skills for handling bills and payments accurately.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Experience in guest services, upselling, and culinary environments will be considered an asset. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about delivering outstanding customer service within a lively dining setting, eager to grow their career in hospitality while ensuring guests enjoy their visit to the fullest.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £12.21-£12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
