Housekeeper/cleaner: 8-10 Hours Per Week (starting at 8 hours per week & scaling to 10 if needed)

Location: Horsell, Woking

Hours: 8-10 hours per week (ideally the hours would be split into 3 sessions – days/times flexible assuming they are spread out through the week)

Salary: £18 per hour

We are looking for an experienced and reliable housekeeper to help maintain our family home in Horsell to the highest standards.

About the role:

You will be responsible for keeping our home immaculately clean, tidy and well-organised. This is a role that requires a keen eye for detail, pride in your work, and an understanding that presentation and order matter.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Thorough cleaning of all areas including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living spaces,
  • Laundry duties including washing, ironing and putting away,
  • Changing beds and towels regularly,
  • Keeping cupboards and drawers ordered,
  • Cleaning the fridge, oven and other appliances as appropriate,
  • Emptying bins,
  • General household organisation to ensure the home remains pristine.

About us:

We are a blended family with a 2-year-old daughter, 3 older children (2 are away at University, 1 is with us every other week) and two small dogs. Both parents work from home, and we have a nanny to look after our 2 year old 4 days a week. We're looking for someone who is comfortable working around a busy household and who can work independently. Direction will be given and standards will be set but, we are seeking to empower someone in this role.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have proven experience as a housekeeper or cleaner in private homes,
  • Take pride in their work with high attention to detail,
  • Be trustworthy, discreet and reliable,
  • Is comfortable around dogs,
  • Understand the importance of maintaining a well-presented home.
