£25–£27 per hour + generous allowances

Are you an experienced Lead Engineer with a background in transformer installations or high-voltage electrical work? This is an exciting opportunity to take the lead on large-scale transformer and substation projects across the UK.

You'll be responsible for managing small site teams, overseeing installation, relocation, and refurbishment of transformers (11kV–400kV), and ensuring all work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to customer specification.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead transformer installation, relocation, and service projects across the UK
  • Oversee substation works including cabling, earthing, and asset replacement
  • Supervise a small team of field engineers and subcontractors on-site
  • Interpret electrical/mechanical drawings and carry out basic transformer testing
  • Complete safety documentation, progress updates, and completion reports
  • Ensure compliance with all H&S and company procedures
