Undertakes specialist assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of clinical care for caseload of patients/clients in paediatric dermatology using validated and appropriate tools e.g. CDLQI, IDQOL, EASI. PHQ9 and GAD7, etc. Provide Nurse led clinics for paediatric patients including eczema, acne, psoriasis and other dermatological conditions and bridging the gap in-between primary, secondary and other health providers.

To provide nurse led clinics and accept referrals in the Trust's Dermatology services for new patients with an agreed diagnosis, devise a treatment plan and plan future review/ discharge as appropriate. To review and follow up patients in the secondary care setting and devise a treatment plan and plan future review/ discharge as appropriate. To prescribe and monitor medication as an independent nurse prescriber To be aware of and undertake responsibilities with regard to child protection procedures both locally and nationally, liaising with the multidisciplinary team, and working within the philosophy that the needs of the child are paramount. To manage own work load, within the nurse led paediatric clinics.

To develop and maintain nurse led services within dermatology, writing/protocols to meet the needs of this patient population. The post holder will help develop a modern dermatological service for children and young people. Provides specialist advice to patients/clients/carers Is an accountable practitioner. Maintains records as autonomous practitioner.

Skilled at assessing and managing risk. Accepts the responsibility for decisions made and actions taken. No requirement to manage/monitor budget
