Senior Finance Consultant

Rate:
£650 per day (Inside IR35 – Umbrella)

Our client is seeking a
Senior Finance Consultant
to provide strategic financial leadership during a period of transformation and change. This high-impact, hands-on role will suit a commercially minded finance professional who can think strategically, drive improvement, and deliver meaningful results in a complex business environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead financial transformation and improvement initiatives across the organisation
  • Restructure and develop finance teams, providing clear rationale and direction for change
  • Manage full consolidation of accounts across UK and US entities
  • Oversee multi-entity, multi-currency accounting and complex P&L ownership
  • Develop and embed robust financial controls, reporting, and governance frameworks
  • Drive the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
  • Provide strategic insight and financial challenge to senior leadership
  • Take accountability for the company's financial performance and help steer the business forward

Requirements

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
  • Significant experience in senior finance roles such as Finance Director, Financial Controller, or Head of Finance
  • Proven background in restructuring finance teams and leading change initiatives
  • Experienced in full consolidation of group accounts (UK and US) and multi-currency environments
  • Skilled in complex P&L management and financial reporting across multiple entities
  • Ideally from a large corporate background with full exposure to P&L ownership
  • Strong commercial acumen, analytical mindset, and excellent communication skills
  • Hands-on approach, able to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery
