Product Manager, Applied AI

Job Description:

At Warner Music Group, we're a global collective of music makers and music lovers, tech innovators and inspired entrepreneurs, game-changing creatives and passionate team members. Here, we turn dreams into stardom and audiences into fans. We are guided by three core values that underpin everything we do across all our diverse businesses:

Curiosity: We do our best work when we're immersing ourselves in culture and breaking through barriers. Curiosity is the driving force behind creativity and ingenuity. It fuels innovation, and innovation is the key to our future.

Collaboration: Making music and bringing it to the world is all about the power of originality amplified by teamwork. A great idea, like a great song, travels globally. We ignite passions and build connections across our diverse community of artists, songwriters, partners, and fans.

Commitment: We pursue excellence for our team and our talent. Everything in music starts with a leap into the unknown, and we're committed to keeping the faith, acting with integrity, and delivering on our promises.

WMG is home to a wide range of artists, musicians, and songwriters that fuel our success. That is why we are committed to creating a work environment that actively values, appreciates, and respects everyone. We encourage applications from people with a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences.

Consider a career at WMG and get the best of both worlds – an innovative global music company that retains the creative spirit of a nimble independent.

This role is the strategic core of our AI transformation within the BI unit. You will bridge the gap between complex business needs, cutting-edge AI technology, and successful product delivery.

Your mandate is to move our insights capability towards predictive and prescriptive intelligence. You will operate at the intersection of data, product strategy, and commercial imperatives, translating the most complex industry challenges—such as early artist signaling, catalog valuation optimization, trend anticipation across global markets, and operational efficiency—into ethical, concrete, and high-ROI AI solutions. You are expected to be the owner of the why and the what, maintaining a critical understanding of the technical how to ensure product feasibility and expedited delivery. Your success will be measured by the tangible business impact and the organizational adoption of these new intelligent systems.

  • Product Vision & Roadmap Ownership: Define the product vision, strategy, and measurable success metrics for our AI solutions, ensuring a clear path for integrating emerging model types (like LLMs) and technologies into the core BI and operational workflows.

  • Cross-Functional Delivery: Partner deeply with ML Engineers, Data Scientists, and Business Intelligence experts to design, build, and deliver robust, high-quality, and user-focused AI products.

  • Ecosystem Integration: Ensure seamless and efficient integration of new AI solutions into our existing data platforms, reporting ecosystems, and operational workflows.

  • Change Management & Storytelling: Champion user adoption and manage organizational change through compelling data storytelling and executive demos on the power of augmented intelligence.

  • Market & Tech Scouting: Maintain a keen understanding of Generative AI, advanced Machine Learning methods, MLOps tools, and best practices, and proactively evaluate their commercial application within the music industry.

Skills & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field. A Master's degree (e.g., MBA, MS) is highly preferred.

  • Product Expertise: 3+ years of progressive experience in product management, specifically focusing on data products or AI/ML-driven features (experience with Generative AI products is a strong plus).

  • Data Literacy: Solid, practical understanding of BI/Data environments (Data Warehousing, Data Pipelines, SQL, Python, Looker/Tableau) and their governance.

  • AI/ML Fluency: Demonstrated ability to understand core AI/ML concepts (e.g., model training, feature engineering, model performance metrics, probabilistic systems) and effectively collaborate with highly technical teams.

  • Communication & Executive Presence: Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of translating technical complexity into clear business implications for executive audiences.

  • Domain Affinity: A genuine passion for solving complex business problems through innovative technology, with experience in the entertainment, media, or consumer technology sectors being a significant advantage.
