Role Overview

As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for executing our domestic and international sales strategy to drive revenue growth, while building strong relationships with clients across the Defence, Police & Security, and Critical National Infrastructure sectors. You will manage the sales pipeline from prospecting through to close, ensuring the delivery of tailored UAV solutions that meet client needs. In addition, you will lead and develop a high-performing sales team, providing direction, coaching, and support to achieve both individual and collective targets.

Location: Hybrid – minimum 2 days per week in our Farnham office. Regular travel across the UK and internationally is expected (c.30%).

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head of Business Development to develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets, setting clear, challenging, yet achievable KPIs for the sales team.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target markets, with a focus on Defence, Police, Security, and Critical National Infrastructure sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners, including overseeing and supporting a reseller network.
  • Lead product presentations, demonstrations, and negotiations to secure new contracts.
  • Manage and develop a high-performing sales team, ensuring alignment and collaboration across the Defence, Police, Security, and CNI markets.
  • Demonstrate strong capability in defence stakeholder mapping and effectively navigate complex government and defence procurement pathways.
  • Collaborate with marketing, engineering, and technical teams to ensure sales efforts are aligned with business objectives.
  • Monitor market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activity to inform strategy and refine the sales approach.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance reports for senior leadership.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events, acting as a trusted brand ambassador.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record in B2G defence sales, ideally within the UAV sector.
  • Strong knowledge of RAS technologies and their operational and commercial applications.
  • Experience in leading and managing a sales team across domestic and international markets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with defence, police, and government procurement processes and frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles and successfully close high-value contracts.
  • Highly self-motivated, results-driven, and effective in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales analytics to manage pipeline and performance.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel across the UK and internationally as required.

Desirable

  • Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field – or equivalent professional experience.
  • Familiarity with UK/EU drone regulations and licensing requirements.
  • Experience working with international resellers and distributors.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain SC (Security Check) clearance.
