Head of Engineering (FMCG/Food Manufacturing) - Sheffield Area- New

Salary: Up to £90,000 + Benefits + Senior Management Opportunity

About the Business:
This company are a leading name in the food manufacturing industry. We are looking for a dynamic Head of Engineering to lead their engineering team and drive strategic initiatives at their site in the Sheffield area

The Role:
As the Head of Engineering, you will be at the forefront of their engineering operations, ensuring the smooth running of the site. This role is perfect for a seasoned engineering professional with a strong technical background and leadership experience. You will oversee and manage managers and an extended team of 50 engineers & CAPEX plan, implement and influence engineering strategy, and work closely with operations and new product development to align factory capabilities with their innovative product offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the engineering strategy, focusing on proactive rather than reactive measures.
• Collaborate with operations and NPD teams to introduce new products.
• Manage the CAPEX plan for the site.
• Ensure the smooth operation of typical FMCG machinery, including conveyors and fabrication facilities.

What We're Looking For:

• Proven leadership skills with experience managing engineering teams.
• Extensive experience in engineering within a similar manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Comfortable with fabrication and buildings maintenance.
• Ideally, experience within a similar-sized business or operation within FMCG or Food Manufacturing.
