Job Summary

The Facilitator plays a crucial role in providing support and guidance to individuals in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. This position requires a compassionate and skilled individual who can effectively support the client who is 13 years old and home schooled, to engaging in daily living activities as well as accessing the community and live a full life. The Facilitator will work closely with both clients, teachers and their families to deliver high-quality support while promoting independence and dignity.

Duties

  • Provide direct assistance with daily living activities such meal preparation, household chores, cooking, shopping.
  • Develop and implement individualised social facilitation and life plans tailored to the specific needs of each patient.
  • Engage in behaviour management techniques to support clients with challenging behaviours.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment that encourages social interaction.
  • Drive clients to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and other professionals.
  • This role is ideal for individuals passionate about enhancing the quality of life for a young man with autism.
  • Play roadblocks or on similar gaming platforms.
  • Drives - this is essential as you will need to take the young person out and about.

Job Types: Part-time, Temp to perm, Apprenticeship

Contract length: 3 months

Pay: £427.35-£600.00 per week

Expected hours: No more than 35 per week
