Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including private homes. This role involves delivering personalised care to enhance the quality of life for our clients, with a focus on dignity, respect, and independence. Responsibilities

  • Provide personalised patient care, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility.
  • Support clients with medication administration following prescribed schedules and protocols.
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
  • Manage behaviour and provide emotional support for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties related to client care, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Drive clients to appointments or outings as required, ensuring safety during transportation.
  • Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies or urgent needs using first aid skills when necessary.
  • Assist with heavy lifting or transfers using proper techniques and equipment to ensure safety for both client and caregiver.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a live in carer
  • Knowledge of patient care practices, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and behaviour management techniques.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; ongoing training will be provided if necessary.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physically demanding tasks.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients of all ages.
  • Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals' needs.
