Access Training Academies provides intensive, accredited training courses for both new and experienced tradespeople across the UK. With training centres in across the UK, the academies specialise in trades such as Electrical, Plumbing, and Gas Engineer training. The courses and facilities are accredited by leading awarding bodies, including City & Guilds, NAPIT, ELECSA, and BPEC. Classes are kept small, with a maximum of eight students per tutor, to ensure focused, high-quality instruction from experienced industry professionals. Access Training Academies are dedicated to equipping candidates with practical skills and recognized qualifications for successful careers in the trades.

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Financial Controller, based in Swansea, with some flexibility to work from home. The Financial Controller will oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, manage financial reporting, and maintain accurate accounting processes. This role will include developing financial strategies, monitoring financial performance, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The Financial Controller will also collaborate with various departments to support budgeting and forecasting activities.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in preparing and analysing Financial Statements and experience in Financial Reporting
  • Strong Analytical Skills and a thorough understanding of Finance principles
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in Accounting practices and regulations
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent are preferred
  • Proficiency in financial software is highly advantageous
  • Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to a hybrid work environment
