Engineering Storeperson

Established in 1997 as the first manufacturer of sushi for the UK supermarket industry, Taiko has evolved into the most innovative manufacturer of Sushi, Food To Go, Prepared Meals and Snacking products in the UK, supplying Waitrose, Tesco and Sainsbury's to name a few. As the backbone of our engineering operations, the Engineering Stores Person plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our workplace. We are seeking a highly organised individual with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to managing the day-to-day needs of our engineering stores and administration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the Parts Department, ensuring it is tidy, organised, and all parts are correctly labelled and located.
• Ensure critical spares are always in stock to minimise downtime.
• Carry out regular stock checks, manage stock orders, create new parts, and supersede obsolete items.
• Source quotes for parts, track delivery statuses, and generate or close purchase orders as required.
• Support administration in delivering engineering technical competence.
• Undertake various administrative tasks to assist the assets and maintenance department.

About You:

• Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience in a similar role, ideally within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Confident using CMS or similar stock management systems.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively as part of a dynamic engineering team.
• Previous experience or knowledge gained in an engineering setting is highly desirable.
