Role Summary
We are seeking an accomplished Senior C# Developer to play a pivotal role in delivering high-impact software solutions for a leading global financial institution. This position offers the unique opportunity to take on technical leadership responsibilities, coordinating a small, dedicated development team while remaining hands-on with cutting-edge technology.
You will be at the heart of innovation, designing and developing new solutions and enhancing critical banking applications. This role is ideal for a developer who thrives in a complex, client-facing environment and is eager to contribute to both technical excellence and team growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of new solutions and interfaces using C#, .NET, and .NET Core.
- Coordinate the activities of a small development team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality code and meeting project milestones.
- Proactively design and develop improvements to existing applications to enhance performance, reliability, and user experience.
- Take responsibility for the availability, stability, and continuous improvement of mission-critical banking applications.
- Report directly to the Project Lead, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals and technical direction.
- Collaborate with management to help shape and recruit your own team as the project evolves.
Essential Skills & Experience
- A minimum of 5 years' professional experience in software development.
- Exceptional proficiency in C#, with strong, demonstrated experience in .NET and .NET Core.
- Proven background developing applications within the financial services sector.
- Practical experience with banking applications, products, and related workflows.
- Expertise in SQL and relational database management systems.
- Full proficiency with Git for source control and Visual Studio as a development environment.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal (CEFR C1 level or equivalent).
Desirable Qualifications
- A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a team lead or technical coordination capacity.
- Experience contributing to the recruitment and onboarding of new team members.
