We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Catering, Hospitality, and Tourism Tutor on a temporary basis up until Christmas, with immediate start. If you're passionate about empowering young people and sharing your expertise in the world of catering, hospitality, and tourism, this is a great opportunity for you.

What We Are Looking For

As a tutor, you will deliver innovative and inspiring teaching in our Level 1 and Level 2 Catering, Hospitality, and Tourism courses for learners aged 16–18, including those with or without Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). You will support learners to develop their practical and theoretical knowledge, working with them to achieve their career aspirations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and delivering interactive lessons that combine theory and practical skills, aligned with industry standards.
  • Assessing and providing feedback on learner performance to support progress.
  • Managing and maintaining accurate records of learner performance and assessments.
  • Creating an inclusive learning environment, promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion across all activities.
  • Supporting learners with varying learning needs, including those with EHCPs.

Key Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

o Qualifications:

o Relevant qualification in Catering, Hospitality, or Tourism (Level 2 or above).

o A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).

o Maths and English at secondary education level (or equivalent experience).

o Experience:

o Experience within the catering, hospitality, or tourism industry.

o Teaching or training experience is preferred, but not essential.

o Experience of working with young learners, including those with additional learning needs (EHCP).

o Skills & Abilities:

o Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

o Ability to manage and organise administrative tasks, such as record-keeping and data analysis.

o Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with a diverse range of learners.

o Ability to create and maintain an inclusive, positive learning environment.

o Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.
