Wood in Reading are seeking Piping (Layout) Designer for a refinery upgrade FEED project. This is a contract position which will run for 12 months. We're operating a hybrid work pattern with 4 days in the Green Park office and 1 day at home.

  • Proven expertise in Plant Layout
  • Provide feedback and input to Design Supervisor to support project execution and delivery
  • Demonstrates good communication with project personnel
  • Good coordination with all engineering disciplines to develop the design
  • Development of Plot Plan to meet project standards and project delivery requirements
  • Ability to solve complex problems
  • Ensure quality requirements are met for designated scop

  • Pre-FEED and FEED experience required
  • Detailed Design experience beneficial
  • Middle East project experience preferred
  • Downstream Oil and Gas experience required
  • Greenfield and Brownfield project experience required
  • Module and / or Offshore experience required

  • Good knowledge of industry codes and standards
  • Hexagon S3D capability required
