We're looking for an experienced and passionate
Buyer
to join our friendly team in Tiverton. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape our unique and specialist product range, working with a wide network of suppliers and bringing the world's best pens, pencils, and creative tools to our customers.

What you'll be doing:

  • Delivering and tracking performance against key commercial KPIs for sales and profitability.
  • Understanding and curating a specialist category to build the optimum product assortment.
  • Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships while exploring new and innovative products and brands.
  • Working with the Business Director to develop and deliver the trade plan in line with the wider business strategy.
  • Negotiating supplier terms and managing ongoing supplier performance and improvements.
  • Collaborating with suppliers and the marketing team to plan and deliver engaging marketing campaigns.
  • Helping to define pricing and promotional strategies to drive sales and margin growth.
  • Developing and sourcing Cult Pens–branded products and exclusive ranges.
  • Contributing to the annual budgeting and planning process.
  • Managing website product launch plan
  • Supporting marketing team with product set up and site merchandising

What we're looking for:

  • Proven buying or commercial experience, ideally within the stationery category (or a similar consumer goods environment).
  • Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Confident communicator, able to influence effectively across teams and suppliers.
  • Highly numerate with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Resilient, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
  • A great team player who enjoys collaborating to achieve shared goals.
