Projects Engineer
Pennaire Filtration Ltd is an established company supplying bespoke products & services in Air Filtration and Product Collection for the food, pharmaceutical, minerals & chemical industries worldwide.
Due to recent expansion, we are presently looking for an engineer to join our team of experienced personnel working from our new office in Ellesmere Port. The candidate should have a mechanical engineering background and be qualified to HND level as a minimum, preferably have experience in air movement or materials handling, although this is not essential, and be able to liaise with both clients and suppliers on a daily basis. Pennaire would consider an experienced AutoCAD 2D and SolidWorks 3D design draughtsperson wanting to move up to Project Management whilst maintaining their draughting skills.
Typical duties would include;
· Undertaking the project control and management of new contracts from sales handover to final delivery or installation.
· Assisting with and eventually undertaking site surveys / measurements
· Preparation of plant layouts, general assemblies & detailed fabrication drawings in AutoCAD LT (2D) and SolidWorks 3D
· Negotiating and purchasing of equipment from approved suppliers
· Working within an ISO9001 quality system
· Updating and maintaining job costing spreadsheets
· Occasional involvement in the overseeing, installation & commissioning of systems, this may involve working away from home for a period of time.
· Carryout progress & final inspections of equipment at sub-suppliers
· Preparation of data dossiers / O&M manuals
· Checking & signing off supplier invoices for equipment purchased
Key skills required;
· Minimum HND qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related subject
· Proficient in the use of Autodesk AutoCAD LT 2d and SolidWorks 3D drawing packages
· Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, word, excel.
· Experience of working with & understanding plant layout drawings
· Experience of understanding and the ability to produce fabrication drawings (i.e. Structural steelwork, sheet metal work & heavy plate fabrication)
· Internal training and product knowledge will be given where required.
· Full, clean driving licence
Job Type
: Full-time, Permanent
Salary:
£35, £45,000.00 per year

· Ellesmere Port, Cheshire CH2 4NE: reliably commute to and from our offices.
Education:
· Certificate of Higher Education HND or equivalent (minimum required)
· Degree Qualified in relevant Mechanical Engineering Discipline preferred.
Experience:
· Draughting: 3 years 2d AutoCAD and SolidWorks 3D essential
· Project Engineering in mechanical related industry (advantageous, but product and industry training will be supplied internally)
Licence/Certification:
· Full UK Driving Licence (required)
