As an Associate Principal Scientist within the Protein & Process Analytics Bio R&D Team, you will deliver high-value technical innovation via analytical projects and collaborative initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to influence scientific direction, drive innovation in analytical technologies, and mentor a talented team of scientists.

What you will do:
● Provide scientific leadership and oversight of the team's analytical projects.
● Conduct laboratory work, review scientific data, and coach team members.
● Manage projects and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
● Scout for emerging technologies and drive their implementation within the Lonza network.
● Mentor and support professional development of junior scientists.
● Contribute to scientific publications, patents, and innovation initiatives.

What we are looking for:
● PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or equivalent industrial experience.
● Practical experience in analytical laboratories, preferably within a mammalian biologics environment.
● Strong background in analytical techniques and biomolecular interaction analysis.
● Documented history of high-quality publications or patent filings.
● Research-focused with a keen interest in innovation within the biologics area.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders in a matrix organization.
