About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of Overhead Line (OHL) and Underground Cabling projects for a major DNO framework. This is a hybrid position, with time split between the office, site, and occasional work-from-home flexibility.

You'll oversee both development and construction stages, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme - while maintaining strong stakeholder and contractor relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of project delivery across DNO OHL, cabling, poles, towers, and underground networks.

Lead and coordinate both development and construction phases.

Oversee contractors, ensuring compliance with NEC contract requirements and project specifications.

Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, H&S, and quality.

Liaise with design, engineering, and commercial teams to ensure smooth project delivery.

Manage budgets, schedules, risk registers, and project documentation.

Report regularly to senior management on progress and key deliverables.

Requirements

Proven experience managing DNO / OHL / cabling or related power distribution projects.

Strong understanding of NEC contracts (preferred).

Background in construction delivery and design coordination.

Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Ability to travel to site as required (based around Bury St Edmunds).

Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline preferred.
