Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and efficiency, as well as the ability to handle heavy lifting and navigate various driving conditions. This does not involve any residential deliveries, all drops are to commercial premisses. Monday-Friday. Working hours will vary, typically you will load up between 6am-7am. Current drivers finish around 3pm, however routes, traffic, experience play a part in this. expect max 2 long days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a delivery vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring items are secured properly for transport.
  • Deliver packages to designated locations in a timely manner, maintaining accurate delivery records.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any issues that may arise.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organisation of stock.
  • Handle heavy lifting of packages and equipment as required during deliveries.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred.
  • Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience driving a Long-Wheel-base Van vehicle is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.
  • Experience in a warehouse environment is a plus, with the ability to manage stock efficiently.
  • Capability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) safely and effectively.
