We have an amazing opportunity for a Business Support Administrator to join our busy team. We are looking for a highly organised, motivated, enthusiastic and committed person to provide administrative and business support at Blackburn with Darwen Mental Health Social Care Team based at Daisyfield Mill. You will be responsible for providing customer contact service, handling and resolving enquires professionally and efficiently. You will also contribute to the ongoing development and establishment of a positive culture. This is a varied role providing essential support to professionals, partner agencies, and families to ensure the smooth running of our services.

You will be based in the Community Mental Health Team based at Daisyfield Mill and work closely with both health and social care staff. In this team we support individuals with both lower end of mental illness and the serious and enduring mental health conditions, complex care & support needs, including support to families and carers with the aim to improve mental health and wellbeing and to promote independence, recovery and social inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build effective relationships with customers, carers, families, and partner agencies, ensuring enquiries are responded to promptly and appropriately.
  • Handle queries from visitors, contractors, and residents in a professional and timely manner, escalating complex issues where necessary.
  • Maintain data quality and accuracy within MOSAIC and other systems, supporting effective service performance and decision-making.
  • Undertake a wide range of administrative tasks to support the team, liaising with external agencies where required.
  • Support and organise meetings, including arranging calendars, booking rooms, preparing documents, and taking accurate and confidential minutes.
  • Provide accurate reports and information to management by interrogating systems as required.
  • Manage petty cash returns and follow financial procedures for ordering, receipting, and recording in line with Council policies.
  • Ensure new team members have the correct equipment and IT access by completing the necessary processes.
  • Share knowledge and support the development of colleagues, apprentices, and work experience placements in using systems effectively.
