WHAT IS ON OFFER

Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at our Head Office in Liverpool, UK.

In this role, you'll play a key part in strengthening and developing our Health, Safety & Environmental Management Systems, helping us maintain the highest standards across our operations.

Your day to day will include:

  • Leading and coordinating risk assessments and site inspections.
  • Managing incident reporting and investigations with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring ongoing compliance with health and safety legislation and internal standards.
  • Providing clear, practical H&S advice across the business and actively contributing to HSE meetings.

We're looking for someone who's hands on, detail-oriented, and driven by a genuine commitment to keeping people safe.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • A good knowledge of MS office applications and ability to adapt to bespoke H&S systems.
  • High degree of accuracy in work.
  • Driving Licence.

Required Competencies

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Independent planning and time management skills.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Must possess a proactive, positive attitude towards improving health & safety standards and developing a positive health and safety culture.

Required Work Experience

  • Background experience of health & safety in a laboratory or similar environment is essential.

Required Qualifications

  • ISO Certification experience is desirable.
  • NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.

Travel

  • There will be an expectation for regular travel to UK sites and scope for international travel as required.
