Complex Care Assistant – Tower Hamlets

Position Overview

  • Role: Complex Care Assistant
  • Location: Tower Hamlets
  • Pay Rate: £13.00 – £15.83 per hour
  • Shifts: Days only
  • Schedule: Flexible working – Monday to Sunday
  • Hours: Full-time (minimum 30 hours per week)
  • Contract: Full-time / Zero-hours contract (contracted hours may be offered after probation)

About the Role

You will be working with complex service users with communication needs, autism and learning disabilities and may requires 2:1 support when out in the community.

You will be required to take service users;

  • Going out and meeting people
  • Attending college
  • Swimming
  • Listening to music
  • Watching movies
  • Spending quality time at home

Before starting, you'll have the opportunity to meet the service user and his family to ensure you feel confident and well-prepared.

Training will be provided, including support with non-verbal and augmented communication methods.

Main Responsibilities

  • Providing personal care: morning and evening routines, washing, dressing, toileting, oral care
  • Supporting daily activities and engagement at home and in the community
  • Encouraging independence and meaningful participation
  • Maintaining positive communication and companionship
  • Keeping strong, professional relationships with the client's family
  • Working safely as part of a 2:1 team if required
