Hedging and ALM Analyst

The Hedging & ALM Analyst is a key member of the Investment team, tasked with supporting the Head of ALM and Hedging in several key areas: (1) Provide first-line oversight and reporting on AGL's hedge program to ensure effective management and transparency. (2) Assist in the development and implementation of a robust ALM framework to enhance strategic decision making. (3) Support the Investment Management and Hedging Committee on ALM and hedge related topics, fostering collaboration with AIM Minneapolis Hedging team, AIM ALM and AGL. Additionally, the ALM Analyst may assist with various projects within the Investment department, as directed by their line manager. Key Performance Measures: Responsibilities will include, amongst others, the following:  Provide first-line oversight of the hedge program, supporting regular hedging processes and reporting on performance. This includes maintaining a robust control framework within Hedging and ALM.  Conduct ALM analysis and support the Investment Management and Hedge Committee on ALM and hedging topics, including supporting AGL's rate setting processes for its index-linked product offering.  Work with the Head of ALM and Hedging to develop and refine hedge strategies, contributing innovative ideas for improvement.  Help coordinate and monitor hedge-related projects to ensure timely and effective execution.  Assist in product development efforts, particularly for guaranteed products.  Assist in maintaining and updating of AGL's existing ALM framework, including Hedging.  Participate in the creation of processes and models to assess AGL's ALM and Cash Management needs, involving running ALM projections based on existing cashflow models and collaborating closely with the Actuarial team

• Nearly/newly qualified actuary or financial modelling experience background; Professional Competence
• Actuarial / financial modelling experience;
• Experience working in the life insurance industry, ideally in a cross-border company; Product and Technical knowledge
• Knowledge of Asset Liability Management, including financial modelling of assets and liabilities
• Knowledge of variable annuity and other hedged products is an advantage; Management Commercial Awareness Personal Competencies: Organisation Skills Strong organisational/project management skills required with ability to work on own initiative.
