Job Summary
We are searching for a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food quality. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will assist the Head Chef in managing daily operations, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and presentation. Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing high-quality dishes in accordance with restaurant standards.
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Oversee food production processes, maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock ordering, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment in compliance with food safety standards.
- Support training programmes for new team members to uphold culinary standards and operational procedures.
- Contribute ideas for menu development and seasonal specials to enhance customer experience.
Qualifications
- Proven supervisory experience within a busy kitchen environment.
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Experience in food production, restaurant operations, and hospitality management.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen management.
- Knowledge of current culinary trends and techniques.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards of quality.
