Automatic Door Engineer – London & Surrounding Areas
Salary: Up to £49,400 basic per year

We're working with a rapidly growing, close-knit business in the automatic and industrial door industry. They're looking for an Automatic Door Engineer to join their friendly team in London and surrounding areas.
This is a great opportunity to join a company that genuinely values its engineers. You'll work in a supportive environment, alongside colleagues who take pride in delivering excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, fault find, and repair automatic doors (main focus)
- Occasional installations
- Work with commercial and retail clients across London and nearby areas
- Jobs are usually kept within approximately two hours of your postcode
- Ensure all work meets EN16005 compliance standards
- Deliver excellent customer service at all times
Requirements
- EN16005 compliant (essential)
- Experience with automatic doors
- Knowledge of industrial doors, gates, or barriers is desirable but not essential
- Full UK driving licence
- Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn - open to engineers with less experience if they have the right mindset
What's on Offer
- Up to £49,400 basic salary
- Door-to-door pay
- Overtime: Time and a half (05:00–07:30 / 17:30–00:00), double time thereafter
- On-call rota: 1 in 6, £175 standby fee, call-outs paid at 1.5x
- Company van available for personal use
- 28 days holiday including bank holidays
- Death in service plan
