Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality support to individuals in care homes or within their own homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within the care sector and contribute meaningfully to the community.

Duties

  • Assisting clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
  • Supporting clients in maintaining their independence and dignity
  • Implementing and updating personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
  • Providing companionship and emotional support to clients
  • Assisting with medication management as directed by healthcare professionals
  • Maintaining accurate records of care provided and any changes in client condition
  • Communicating effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Supporting clients with light domestic tasks such as meal preparation and light cleaning

Skills

  • Driving licence is desirable for supporting home care visits and transportation needs
  • Experience or familiarity with working in a care home or home care environment is advantageous
  • Ability to understand and follow care plans accurately
  • Good IT skills for maintaining records and communicating via digital platforms
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Compassionate attitude with strong interpersonal skills
  • Organised and reliable, capable of managing multiple responsibilities effectively
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and professionalism

based in Thornbury, dursley, wotton, surrounding areas.
