Ecommerce Manager Job Description

Company Profile

Steins Foods is an importer and distributor of specialty and mainstream food products. Established in 2009, we have grown quickly, and we are currently at a stage where we are experiencing a significant growth spurt. To ensure we have the necessary resources to grow further, we are looking for an ecommerce manager to manage the ecommerce side of the business, Amazon in particular.

Job Responsibilities

We are recruiting a Warehouse Manager, to lead the warehouse team in delivering efficient, safe, and well-organized operations. The Warehouse Manager will ensure that staffing, productivity, stock integrity, health & safety, and operational performance consistently meet business goals.

Marketplace Management

· Oversee daily operations across Amazon, Shopify, TikTok and eBay.

· Ensure accurate product listings, pricing, stock levels, and platform compliance.

· Manage fulfilment processes, returns, and customer issues.

· Lead and support a team of four, ensuring consistent performance and cover.

Performance & Reporting

· Monitor sales, profitability, and channel growth.

· Review performance reports and take action to improve results.

· Maintain strong stock accuracy and support forecasting.

Customer Experience

· Oversee customer service performance and improve online customer journey.

· Reduce checkout abandonment and support website optimisation.

· Monitor reviews and maintain excellent account health across marketplaces.

Marketing & Growth

· Manage digital marketing partners including paid ads and social channels.

· Oversee email marketing and ensure regular campaign activity.

· Support product and category development, including new product ideas.

· Keep website visuals, banners, and promotions up to date.

Product & Catalogue

· Maintain consistent product content, branding, and pricing across all channels.

· Review product range performance and support optimisation of the catalogue.

Candidate Skill Requirements

Essential Skills & Qualities

· Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing a team.

· Proven experience managing e-commerce channels, including Amazon.

· Good knowledge of Amazon Seller Central

· Solid understanding of marketplace operations, online merchandising, and fulfilment workflows.

· Strong analytical ability with confidence managing KPIs and performance reports.

· Experience overseeing digital marketing activity (ads, social, emails).

· Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate across departments.

· Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and handle multiple projects.

· Good commercial awareness and problem-solving mindset.

Desirable

· Experience in FMCG, retail, wholesale, or consumer goods.

· Familiarity with Shopify and other marketplace tools.

· Understanding of conversion rate optimisation and customer journey improvements.
