We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern for this post is: Monday to Friday, Core hours – Shifts either 08:00 - 16:00 / 08:30 - 16:30 / 09:00 - 17:00.

Please be advised that, effective 1 April 2026, the full-time working hours for all Agenda for Change posts will be reduced to 36 hours.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual who possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to join our Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) Head and Neck Diagnostic Hub, where the successful candidate will be based at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH) Glasgow.

You will be expected to provide efficient and effective medical secretarial and general administrative support to consultants and associated medical/nursing staff.

You will be responsible to ensure the timely movement of patient's referrals, scheduling and co-ordinating appointments, liaising with clinical and clerical colleagues and have a proven ability of ability to undertake data collection for monitoring purposes.

You should have an awareness of medical terminology and have a high degree of typing speed and accuracy.

It is desirable the candidates have experience in using Trakcare, Winscribe and Clinical Portal.

The ability to work under pressure, managing deadlines and responding to changing priorities is essential.

The post holder should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office to set up documents and maintain and update databases/spreadsheet.
