Job DescriptionAre you a dedicated person who is kind and compassionate and wants to make a positive difference to the lives of elderly people who live within their own homes?
We provide training for like-minded people to deliver high quality care with the aim to keep our clients safe and independence within their own home environment.
You will require a level of understanding of care support required within a care setting. This experience could be professional, personal or even within the voluntary sector.
We are looking for people who have a pride within themselves to deliver outstanding service with a passion and a driven attitude. You will need to be a respectful, reliable and trustworthy person.
You should also feel comfortable spending time in the company of the elderly while building professional friendships.
QualificationsNo specific qualifications needed however you should be:
Able to build great working relationships with regular clients.
Able to provide supportive personal care – this may involve bathing or showering.
Able to give companionship – such as visiting the coffee shop, hairdressers, hospital appointments or going shopping for weekly goods.
Able to engage in a friendly and responsive manner – this comes with a level of responsibility to make them happy and confident and leaving them with a smile on their face and maybe a spring in their step.
Able to help with housework – ensuring safety in the home is always in the fore front of the care being given, along supporting clean home encourages a clean mind attitude.
Listening to their stories of their past lives, finding out about the person you care for and what makes their lives fulfilled. Gaining the trust together to ensure a happy and successful relationship.
Working as part of a team communicating when necessary, with the interest of the Client at the fore front of what you do is always imperative
