Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Dental Nurse, where your passion for patient care and expertise in dental practices will shine In this role, you will be an essential part of our dental clinic, assisting in various procedures and ensuring that every patient receives top-notch care. Your knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology will empower you to support our dental professionals effectively while maintaining a welcoming environment for our patients.
We are a friendly team with low or no staff turnaround and are looking to replace a nurse who will leave as she is pregnant. We have great patients and work together well which makes work a breeze.
What you'll do
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Provide exceptional patient care by preparing patients for treatments and addressing their concerns.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and manage patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, organized work area to uphold safety standards.
- Monitor patient comfort levels during procedures, providing reassurance and support as needed.
- Collaborate with the dental team to enhance overall patient experience and clinic efficiency.
Basic qualifications
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy knowledge.
- Proficient in nursing practices with a focus on patient care.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation processes.
Preferred qualifications
- Previous experience in a dental healthcare setting - preferably private
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
