We are seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic team. The Warehouse Operative plays a key role in maintaining seamless operations within the warehouse. This position requires collaboration with various departments and external partners, alongside adherence to safety and cleanliness standards. Reporting to the Operations & Warehouse Manager, the jobholder must demonstrate strong organisational skills, teamwork, and a proactive attitude.

Duties

  • Receive and inspect incoming goods to ensure they meet quality and specification standards.
  • Store stock correctly in designated locations and replenish inventory as needed.
  • Assist with stock audits and periodic inventory checks to maintain accuracy.
  • Pick and pack customer orders accurately, ensuring they are prepared for timely dispatch.
  • Apply appropriate courier routing labels and prepare invoices or dispatch records as required.
  • Secure orders on pallets and schedule collections, deliveries, and same-day courier services.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of goods from courier vehicles to ensure efficient logistics operations.
  • Follow company health and safety policies, ensuring compliance with workplace safety regulations.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely if required for stock movement and loading/unloading.
  • Learn and effectively use the internal warehouse management system.

Knowledge

  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management.
  • Understanding of health and safety standards in a warehouse environment.

  • Organisation and time management to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Communication skills for liaising with colleagues and external partners.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory and order handling.
