About Weston Park Care Home
Weston Park is a residential and nursing home located on the outskirts of Macclesfield Town situated in a quiet residential area. The home is accessible via a main bus route and easily accessible from the Leek and Congleton Roads.
Weston Park provides a variety of care for 102 residents over three units.
The home requires a Cook to join the qualified and well trained team.
The role of Cook will be to work under the direction of and in support of the Head Chef to deliver a nutritious diet to all of the residents on a daily basis. This will involve the following:
- Prepare and cook meals according to dietary requirements and preferences of up to 72 residents, including modified diets.
- Ensuring menus are planned according to different dietary needs.
- Baking cakes as required
- Assisting in planning menus across the year to ensure these are seasonally adjusted
- To ensure that all kitchen costs are maintained according to budgets set by the company
- To assist the kitchen team to ensure that the very best standards are maintained
- To meet with residents on a regular basis to obtain their viewpoints and feedback
- In conjunction with the Registered Manager and Head Chef, review new residents to the service regarding their nutritional needs.
- To have the ability to work across the week working a variety of shifts
Previous experience of working in a care setting is essential.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £13.35 per hour
Expected hours: 27.75 per week
