Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Barista with experience in specialty coffee to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting delicious coffee beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and organised workspace. If you have a passion for coffee, a positive attitude, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to have you on our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve a variety of specialty coffee drinks according to company recipes and standards.
  • Bake pre-prepared morning goods before opening and throughout the day.
  • Maintain a clean and inviting environment by cleaning tables and clearing empties as customers leave.
  • Restock the cake display throughout the day to ensure a visually appealing presentation.
  • Greet customers warmly and professionally, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Accurately and efficiently take customer orders.
  • Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment effectively to produce high-quality beverages.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee bar area.
  • Uphold high standards of customer service at all times, addressing customer needs promptly and courteously.
  • Operate the POS system for order processing and payments.
  • Assist in stocking inventory and replenishing supplies as needed.
  • Open and close the shop depending on the shift, following established procedures.

Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Barista in a specialty coffee shop is a must.
  • Strong time management skills to handle peak hours effectively.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations is a plus.

Contract Details:

  • Please note that this is a zero-hour contract, and we cannot guarantee a minimum number of hours. On average, you would receive 20 to 35 hours per week, with potential for more hours as our business grows.
