Role: User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Manager

Consulting Seniority: Consultant - Senior Manager

Day rate: £300-£450 Outside IR35

Location: Stockton-on-Tees

We're supporting a consultancy that specialises in business and digital transformation, known for fostering strong relationships while designing and delivering large-scale, complex transformations worldwide. They require a detail-oriented and proactive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Manager to lead the planning, execution, and governance of UAT across a process remediation programme.

This role is critical in ensuring that solutions delivered meet business needs and are validated by end users before go-live. The ideal candidate will have strong stakeholder engagement skills and a structured approach to managing UAT within complex, multi-stream programmes.

Tasks
  • Develop and maintain the UAT strategy and detailed test plan aligned with the programme timeline
  • Coordinate with workstream leads and subject matter experts to define test scenarios and acceptance criteria
  • Facilitate the preparation of test scripts and ensure appropriate test data is in place
  • Manage UAT execution, tracking progress, capturing results, and resolving defects
  • Support and train business testers to ensure consistency and accuracy in test execution
  • Ensure alignment between UAT, business readiness, and training activities
Requirements
  • An independent consultant
  • Proven track record of leading UAT within multi-stream transformation programmes
  • Formal qualification in testing, business analysis, or project delivery (e.g. ISTQB, BCS)
  • Azure DevOps background
